The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria SMEDAN has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship (SAGE) to promote Entrepreneurship in primary and secondary schools in Nigeria. The signing ceremony which took place on Wednesday at the headquarters of the Agency in Abuja would kick start the National School Entrepreneurship program (N-SEP)
In his remarks, the Director General of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria SMEDAN, Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda commended SAGE for its passion and enthusiasm in promoting and inculcating the spirit of entrepreneurship among primary and secondary schools in Nigeria.
”On my assumption of office two months ago, I was fully briefed on your activities and I want to assure you that SMEDAN aligns with your aims and objectives”. He thanked the organization for its initiative and felt encouraged for its decision to work with SMEDAN.
Earlier the initiator and Coordinator of SAGE Nigeria, Mr. Agwu Amogu briefed the Director General on the activities of the organization and said SAGE through the partnership with SMEDAN intends to engage and impact on 60,000 students within the next five years.
Mr. Amogu affirmed that the collaboration with SMEDAN would help the programme to stimulate and facilitate the culture of entrepreneurship and community service in schools across Nigeria, and assist students in exhibiting creativity and business ideas with enduring wealth creating possibilities and become wealth creating warriors.
Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship (SAGE) Nigeria has a vision of creating better future through social Enterprises, socially responsible businesses and community service so as to create the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders whose innovation and social enterprise addresses needs of global community.
