The Director-General of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria [SMEDAN], Hon. Bature Umar Masari has stressed the need for human capital development as a pre-condition for success of enterprises.
Speaking at the official opening of a two-week Certification Training Programme for operators of Micro-Finance Banks held at the SMEDAN Headquarters, the SMEDAN Director-General noted that training of MFB operators was imperative to ensure effective handling of issues pertaining to access to finance by micro and small entrepreneurs.
The training was facilitated by SMEDAN on behalf of the Central Bank of Nigeria [CBN] and the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation [NDIC]. The Director-General promised to collaborate with trainees to ensure greater access to funding for development of micro and small enterprises.Add a comment
The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and the Kaiho Sangyo Japan have begun discussions on the proposal for conversion of the Industrial Development Centre (IDC) at the Idu Industrial Layout, Abuja, to a vehicle recycling plant. The Industrial Development Centre was one of the 23 established by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment as a business incubation center and Industrial Park, but have remained largely under-utilized over the years.Add a comment
The Director General of the Small and Medium Development Agency (SMEDAN), Alhaji Bature Umar Masari, has expressed the determination of the agency to collaborate with relevant agencies to accelerate the development of the SMEs sector in the country.
Masari stated this when he visited the Industrial Development Centre (IDC) in Ikorodu, Lagos as part of his familiarization tour of facilities of establishment under the purview of the agency in the South West Zone.Add a comment
