The Director General of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda has challenged staff of the agency to be more serious with their work by putting in their best if they want Nigerians particularly those in the MSMEs to feel the impact of the Agency.
Dr. Radda gave this charge during his first meeting with staff of the Agency in Abuja on Thursday 5th May 2016 . He stated that though this is the first meeting he is having with them, he has come to know most of the staff personally because he came to realise that the Agency boast of sound and focused driven crop of staff and he is very much happy to have come across them and he was willing to work with them to develop the MSME sector to the later.
According to Dr. Radda, “when I resumed after my appointment, I got briefings from all the departments and units and I realized that we have lots of challenges facing the Agency and we decided to have a look at the mandate, how can we bring MSME experts that has been working with us, we invited 15 consultants to brainstorm with us on how to reposition the agency to stand out in the crowd. after the management retreat at Kaduna, it was resolve that we need to work together to be able to move forward”,
The Director General posited that “We all need to put in our best because the belief outside is that we can’t do it, so we need to prove them wrong by being serious and achieving feats that will project this agency, I sincerely appeal to you all to give me your support, bring in inputs and good suggestions that will help us succeed in the pursuit of our mandate”.
