The Director General of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Dr Dikko Umaru Radda has expressed the Agency’s readiness to partner with the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the development of the MSME sub-sector in Nigeria. Dr Radda told the Iranian Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Morteza Rahimi Zarchi who was on a courtesy visit to the management of the Agency, that as members of the D8 Countries, there is the need for both countries to collaborate to develop the MSME sub-sector. The DG express the Agency’s readiness to work with their Iranian counter-part in the areas of Agric business, ICT as well as revival of the 23 industrial Development centers in the country.Add a comment

He made this assertion at the National Policy Dialogue on the Fashion Industry held recently in Abuja. He noted that government and the private sector must form synergy that would help create a conducive operating environment that enhances the capacity of practitioners to unlock the benefits that are currently woven into the fabrics of the industry.Add a comment

The Chairman, Governing Board, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Femi Pedro said efforts are ongoing towards a possible collaboration and synergy with Guangdong SMEs in China, in the area of technology transfer to small enterprises in Nigeria. He said the initiative was being canvassed through the Africa-Guangdong Business Association (AGBA) window for the promotion of MSMEs in the country. Pedro, spoke when he led management of SMEDAN to participate at the just concluded 15th edition of the China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair (CISMEF), 2018 (CISMEF) with 21 Nigerian SMEs in attendance.
