- The facility should have a certificate of listing and be registered in accordance with the provisions of Food, Drugs and Related Products (Registration, etc.) Act Cap F33 LFN 2004
- The facility should have between one and five employees
- The building should be dedicated to the micro-scale enterprise and have adequate lighting and ventilation
- There should be a hygiene station for handwashing
- Employees should have basic education, training, or experience
- Employees should wear protective gear to prevent contamination
- Waste should be disposed of properly
- Equipment should be made of non-toxic materials and washed and dried before and after use
- Raw materials and finished products should be stored properly
- The product label should comply with NAFDAC Pre-packaged Food Labeling Regulations
- The product should be transported under conditions that prevent deterioration
