Facility
  • The facility should have a certificate of listing and be registered in accordance with the provisions of Food, Drugs and Related Products (Registration, etc.) Act Cap F33 LFN 2004
  • The facility should have between one and five employees
  • The building should be dedicated to the micro-scale enterprise and have adequate lighting and ventilation
  • There should be a hygiene station for handwashing
Employees
  • Employees should have basic education, training, or experience
  • Employees should wear protective gear to prevent contamination
  • Waste should be disposed of properly

  • Equipment should be made of non-toxic materials and washed and dried before and after use
  • Raw materials and finished products should be stored properly

  • The product label should comply with NAFDAC Pre-packaged Food Labeling Regulations
  • The product should be transported under conditions that prevent deterioration
